MPAA Company Manager
Key responsibilities
1) Operations & Communication
- Manage the daily running of MPAA: answering phones, taking messages, responding to email enquiries, and triaging incoming communications.
- Serve as the central point of contact for staff, students, applicants, and external partners.
- Take accurate minutes at meetings and distribute them promptly.
2) Student Records & Data Management
- Maintain student records, including contracts, medical and physio notes, and personal data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data-protection requirements.
- Communicate effectively with current students and incoming cohorts each academic year.
3) Events, Shows & Auditions Administration
- Coordinate audition days, offers, and scholarships.
- Plan and support outreach days, scheduling and coordinating workshops delivered by the MPAA Senior Management Team.
- Provide production assistance: source props/costumes, manage schedules, and coordinate and distribute scripts/scores.
- Maintain regular contact with suppliers, production teams, licensing companies, theatres, and external venues.
4) Financial Administration
- Manage petty cash and purchase office supplies.
- Track and reconcile student payments and maintain accurate records.
5) Support to Core Academy Staff
- Provide executive diary management and general administrative support.
- Undertake research tasks as required.
- Build and maintain a database of industry contacts.
6) Student Support & Assessments
- Act as the first point of contact for students.
- Organise end-of-term assessments in liaison with faculty.
- Type, compile, and prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence.
7) Data, Systems & Filing
- Manage databases, spreadsheets, and filing systems.
- Implement and maintain administrative procedures to meet both MPAA and UWL requirements.
8) University of West London (UWL) Liaison
- Oversee enrolment of incoming students and re-enrolment processes.
- Liaise with UWL contacts regarding UCAS applicants.
- Support completion of Course Monitoring Reports and Module Evaluation Surveys.
- Assist with Student Module Results, Assessment Boards and student advocacy as required.
9) Facilities & Building Operations
- Prepare for and pack down events.
- Support general building upkeep and restock cleaning/consumable materials.
- Accept deliveries, monitor visitors, and supervise contractors/maintenance workers on site.
